WCYR 5th Annual Signature Online Auction

November 21st - 26th, WCYR charity auction will go live, featuring items that are sure to meet everyone's holiday needs, all while supporting a vital cause in our community! WCYR Signature Online Auction is showcased across York Region for the entire month leading up to our event! The highlight of our silent auction is its potential to feature a wide array of art, sports and entertainment experiences, travel packages, dining certificates, electronics… anything the heart desires!

More importantly, funds raised will contribute to actively supporting the essential work that is desperately needed to help some of our community’s most vulnerable members.

The Women's Centre of York Region is a unique organization that provides support to women from various walks of life who are experiencing traumatic events preventing them from transitioning out of poverty, including domestic abuse, career transitioning, financial hardship and emotional distress. We offer a range of one-on-one counselling for emotional distress as well as transitional counselling to assist women to safely exit abusive relationships. Furthermore, WCYR offers group programming including, Making Changes program which offers instruction on self-empowerment followed by effective communication and healthy boundary setting; Our Enterprising Careers program offers personalized self assessments and coaching with women who wish to enter the workforce or change careers; Our Financial Empowerment program assists women in building a budget and improving their overall financial literacy skills. We assist women in moving out of poverty and away from hopelessness towards possibility and prosperity.
