About Our Auction
As a result of the escalating medical crisis in our area, the annual USSCMC Ports of Call Gala scheduled for April 9th has been canceled. Your individual health is our primary concern, so we are holding a Stay at Home Gala
What has not been canceled however is the critical need to raise funds to support the ongoing operation of the USSCMC and our vital community youth programs as we face an uncertain future.
We are asking all our friends and supporters to dig deep and provide financial support in any way possible, understanding that there are many ways to support the effort.
John & Carolyn Hanson have generously provided a matching challenge grant of $50,000 raised from all sources at The Stay at Home Gala. 100% of our Board and Advisory Board members have contributed to earn this match and we are now asking you to participate as well.
Please consider making a cash donation to the Gala or by purchasing a Silent Auction item and/or donating an Auction item, or by donating the value of tickets for a couple at $160, or funding a needs-based scholarship for $300.
Join with others to underwriter our major youth programs including the Samaritan Center, Hibiscus Center, Operation 300, ARC and scholarships for Summer Camp and program participation. See details on the auction website below.
We have determined that protecting these youth programs is the most important thing we can do right now so we will devote all funds raised to programs and operations.

About United States Sailing Center Martin County
US SAILING CENTER – MARTIN COUNTY (USSCMC) is recognized as one of the nation's outstanding community sailing centers, and philanthropy plays a significant role in fulfilling our mission to create affordable programs and build partnerships to ensure sailing is and will continue to be accessible to all. Donations raised at last year's Ports of Call helped underwrite summer camp scholarships, middle and high school sailing programs, and community outreach programs, enabling us to host world-class regattas.
Community sailing programs are the core of our operation and include learn-to-sail programs for sailors of all ages, youth and high school sailing racing teams, membership sailing opportunities, and special events. Each summer, the center operates weekly full-day sailing camp programs for young sailors seven years old through early teens.
