USAFA Women 50 Year Celebration

On June 28, 1976, 157 women walked up the ramp into the United States Air Force Academy, joining the Long Blue Line and beginning a new chapter in the Academy’s story. To honor that historic moment and the five decades that followed, we are creating meaningful, creative ways to celebrate, connect, and strengthen our community.

Our online Silent Auction is one of those efforts — open to our entire USAFA Women community, wherever you live. Proceeds will advance the mission of USAFA Women by supporting two impactful initiatives: Rooted Within’s Survivor Retreats and the Court of Inspiration.

Supported Causes

• Rooted Within’s Survivor Retreats serve veteran sexual assault survivors’ participation in a 6-day/5-night retreat led by Rooted Within's trauma-informed team of practitioners.  Auction proceeds will support the participation of USAFA alumnae survivors for the next retreat in October 2026.

• The Court of Inspiration will be a new memorial on the Heritage Trail at the Academy, created to recognize the legacy of the women who began attending USAFA nearly 50 years ago.
