2020 Tour de Steamboat COVID EDITION Online Auctio

To our Tour de Steamboat Riders Sponsors and Supporters

Our sponsors say “we are in”!
Our beneficiaries say “game on”!
Our Yampa Valley businesses and volunteers say “how can we help”?
Our local riders ask “can we still ride”?
Our answer is, “YES, let’s do this!”

It’s with excitement we announce the COVID-19 Edition of the 2020 Tour de Steamboat (CE-TDS). Not a “sorry, see you next year” event, but an actual “train for ” and “ride the distance” wherever you live event. This year, the Tour de “You” is a day you choose to ride the original route you planned to ride, wherever you live. If you live in Steamboat, ride the actual routes, if you live out of town, map out a similar distance and profile, envisioning Northwest CO while you ride!

Kicking off on Saturday, July 18th through Sunday, August 2, 2020, we encourage you to enjoy a day of riding. Stop along the way, take pictures of your ride and the sights you see. Share with the TDS community your Tour de “You” ride on our Facebook and Instagram pages and on Ride with GPS. In fact, post your route, share with others who live near you, and want to ride your version of the CE-TDS. The idea is you are riding together, and apart (we request that you please keep a safe distance from each other).

This a fundraiser for four great nonprofits serving the valley. This year we have chosen to highlight our many contributions from our sponsors and supporters with this auction. All proceeds from this auction will directly go to the beneficiaries listed below.

The Tour de Steamboat steering committee has chosen to give proceeds to the following community-focused organizations that reach out in powerful and effective ways in the community of the Yampa Valley:

Proceeds from the Tour de Steamboat benefit four Yampa Valley non-profits.

Yampa Valley Sustainability Council (YVSC)

The mission of the Yampa Valley Sustainability Council (YVSC) is to be a resource and catalyst to advance sustainability in the Yampa Valley through education, events, and programs by building collaboration among individuals, organizations, businesses and government.

Partners in Routt County

Partners in Routt County aims to empower youth to live healthy, productive lives, contribute to their community, and successfully pursue their dreams. Our mission is to build resilient youth in Routt County by creating and supporting meaningful mentoring relationships.

Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide (REPS)

REPS’ mission seeks to preserve, protect and promote life by providing the Yampa Valley with a group of trained volunteers, collaborative initiatives, educational programs, compassionate survivor-care and proactive suicide prevention.

South Routt Recreation Association (SSRA)

The South Routt Recreation Association develops recreation opportunities in South Routt by coordinating funding, programming, and resource partnerships.

In addition a different 5th Beneficiary is selected each year.

About Tour de Steamboat

The Tour de Steamboat is an annual bicycle event that brings together 1,200 cyclists for a one-day ride through beautiful Northwest Colorado. Names like Rabbit Ears Pass, Gore Pass, Yellow Jacket Pass, Stagecoach, Yampa and Oak Creek dot this incredible route, and 5 mileage options offer something for riders of all ages and abilities. Including a new 100 mile Bingham Built Gravel Grinder. We are a non-competitive event, and participants are encouraged to ride at their own pace and enjoy the majestic scenery in our part of the world! We offer superb aid stations, support and end of the ride barbecue and beer garden with local microbrews.
The Tour de Steamboat is an all-volunteer event with all proceeds going directly to our beneficiary non-profits. It’s all for the riders and all for the charities – join us!
