2020 Tour de Steamboat COVID EDITION Online Auctio

To our Tour de Steamboat Riders Sponsors and Supporters

Our sponsors say “we are in”!
Our beneficiaries say “game on”!
Our Yampa Valley businesses and volunteers say “how can we help”?
Our local riders ask “can we still ride”?
Our answer is, “YES, let’s do this!”

It’s with excitement we announce the COVID-19 Edition of the 2020 Tour de Steamboat (CE-TDS). Not a “sorry, see you next year” event, but an actual “train for ” and “ride the distance” wherever you live event. This year, the Tour de “You” is a day you choose to ride the original route you planned to ride, wherever you live. If you live in Steamboat, ride the actual routes, if you live out of town, map out a similar distance and profile, envisioning Northwest CO while you ride!

Kicking off on Saturday, July 18th through Sunday, August 2, 2020, we encourage you to enjoy a day of riding. Stop along the way, take pictures of your ride and the sights you see. Share with the TDS community your Tour de “You” ride on our Facebook and Instagram pages and on Ride with GPS. In fact, post your route, share with others who live near you, and want to ride your version of the CE-TDS. The idea is you are riding together, and apart (we request that you please keep a safe distance from each other).

This a fundraiser for four great nonprofits serving the valley. This year we have chosen to highlight our many contributions from our sponsors and supporters with this auction. All proceeds from this auction will directly go to the beneficiaries listed below.

The Tour de Steamboat steering committee has chosen to give proceeds to the following community-focused organizations that reach out in powerful and effective ways in the community of the Yampa Valley:

Beneficiaries

Proceeds from the Tour de Steamboat benefit four Yampa Valley non-profits.

In addition a different 5th Beneficiary is selected each year.

About Tour de Steamboat

The Tour de Steamboat is an annual bicycle event that brings together 1,200 cyclists for a one-day ride through beautiful Northwest Colorado. We host three different road ride routes—26, 46, and 66. We also host 2 gravel routes, a 100 mile, and a new 50 Mile route. See our Routes page on our website www.tourdesteamboat.com for more details. There is something for riders of all ages and abilities. We are a non-competitive event, and participants are encouraged to ride at their own pace and enjoy the majestic scenery in our part of the world! We offer superb aid stations, support, and end of the ride lunch and craft beer garden.

All proceeds from the Tour de Steamboat go directly to our beneficiary non-profits.

The Tour de Steamboat is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit entity with its entire focus on raising money for local, Routt County community non-profit organizations. These beneficiary agencies provide staff to plan and market the event, implement additional fundraising mechanisms, and assist with event operations. The beneficiaries are also committed to paying it forward. Every year, the beneficiary non-profits choose other local beneficiary organizations to receive a portion of the event proceeds. Last year, the Tour de Steamboat beneficiaries granted $5,000 from the proceeds of the event between four other local organizations: SOROCO Preschool for playground equipment, The Town of Oak Creek for school-aged children programming and the Steamboat Springs Community Assistance Fund critical incident support service.
