About Our Auction

Clothing label Sark Studio is holding a unique exhibition and auction to raise funds for The Climate Council of Australia. ‘The Human Environment’ will comprise a photograph from twenty renowned artists of different creative disciplines.

Curated by the team at The Glue Society, the exhibition will include artists Victoria Alexander, Lorin Askill & Anna Pogossova. Paul Blackmore, Toby Burrows, Tamara Dean, Anne Ferran, James Stopforth and Val Garland, Benja Harney, Derek Henderson, Ross Honeysett, Jim Parry, Ingvar Kenne, Paul McDermott, Chris Round, Andreas Smetana, Luke Steele and Ari Wegner.

Each artist was tasked with creating an exciting and inspiring single photographic work using a Sark Studio shirt. The image represents their interpretation of the core theme, The Human Environment. The resulting works are personal, diverse and provocative.

The works are displayed on our online auction with an exhibition night on Tuesday 18th February 2014, with all funds raised being donated to the Climate Council Australia. If you wish to view the works in person, please contact info@sarkstudio.com.au for an invitation to the Exhibition night.

Following the Australian Government’s decision to remove funding for research into the climate and environment, The Climate Council has now set itself up as a privately funded (independent and apolitical) non-profit organization.
