About Our Auction

First, we want to thank everyone for their generous outpouring of support for Scott and his family. We are well on our way to reaching and exceeding our goal!
Scott McCroby has been a force of nature in the Cincinnati music scene since the early ‘80’s. As bassist for the legendary band Prizoner, he and his bandmates have been doggedly keeping the rock flag flying throughout the Tri-State area. They are the diamond in the crown that is the Cincinnati music scene and Scott has been an integral part of that.
That is the public Scott that everyone knows. What people generally do not know is that his whole life has been about giving, whether it be by sharing his love of music or on a much more private level. Scott has always been an ardent supporter of his fellow musicians and friends in their time of need without fanfare or want of acknowledgement. He has been a dedicated member of the LDS church for many years. No matter how late the gig, Scott was at church the following day, ready and eager to teach Sunday school classes, which he so loves doing. He was also very active in the Cub Scouts, mentoring and sharing his wisdom with our youth. That he is presently unable to do these things that mean so much to him is a great loss to our community.
But the man who has given so much to his community is now in need of its help. Scott was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer and is in a true fight for his life. Gina, his beloved wife, lost her 20 year job with a Fortune 500 company literally days before they received this devastating diagnosis. The medical bills are simply overwhelming the family. Scott is currently undergoing his first round of grueling radiation and chemotherapy treatments.
It’s time to pay it forward.
