The ultimate goal of the “Let’s Take a Swing at Cancer” Golf Tournament is to raise funds in support of the ongoing and outstanding work of The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. Over the past 21 years this event has been able to raise over $480,000 in charitable donations.  Although money raised helps patients and families who are facing a fight against cancer today; it was originally established in loving memory of Herman Hansen. The spirit of this event is shouldered by the supportive community of his family and friends.

The Ottawa Cancer Foundation exists to heighten awareness and raise money for breakthrough cancer research and exemplary patient care. Funds raised remain local, and ensure that, following a cancer diagnosis, patients will have access to the best possible care, treatment, and supportive programs available.
