About Our Auction
Indiana community event, founded by Adam and Whitney Hayden, to raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Society.
In 2016, Indianapolis native Adam Hayden was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer at 34 years old. Doctors told him he had approximately 18 months to live. Adam went on to survive 9.5 years after his diagnosis, spending much of that time advocating for brain cancer patients and their families, research, and government funding. Sadly, Adam passed away in December 2025. While Adam's time has been cut short, his mission continues.
Help us raise money to fund the mission of the National Brain Tumor Society through the fifth Tumor Takedown Tailgate Event in Adam's honor.
About Tumor Takedown Tailgate
Come out for the fifth Tumor Takedown Tailgate to benefit National Brain Tumor Society! Music, food, and silent auction.
In 2016, Indianapolis native, Adam Hayden, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer at 34 years old. This rare life-limiting disease is underfunded in the research landscape, with a five year survival rate of only 5%. Adam went on to survive 9.5 years after doctors told him he'd only live for around 18 months. Motivated by Adam's terminal diagnosis and a desire to prevent other families from facing a similar situation, he and his wife, Whitney, founded the Tumor Takedown Tailgate. To date, the TTT has raised more than $85,000 to benefit National Brain Tumor Society to fund critical research into this deadly disease. Tragically, Adam's life was cut short by this terrible disease on December 20, 2025. So much of his 9.5 years with this diagnosis was spent advocating for brain cancer patients and their families, research, and government funding and also loving his three sons and wife, Whitney. It was his wish that the Tumor Takedown Tailgate continued in perpetuity after his death.
So join us for our fifth event and partake in great food, drink and live music and help us #CarryAdamWithUs.
