About Our Auction

With so many people moving to Austin, and so many locals converting to our ancient faith, our parish is growing and we must reach to meet the people God sends to us. In order to keep pace with the growth of our parish and our youth ministry programs, a new community center at the top of our hill is in the final stages of completion. The proceeds from this year's 39th Anniversary Gala and Silent Auction will go towards realizing a fully functional community center.

About the building expansion:

The overall vision includes new classrooms, administrative offices, banquet/fellowship hall facilities with a stage and commercial kitchen, space for ministry meeting rooms and offices, a proper bookstore and increased parking capacity. The new building will feature a prominent “Transfiguration” sign visible to Bee Cave Road, and will become a new Austin landmark — a light on the hill that cannot be hidden.

We appreciate you supporting our parish's growth!

About Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church

From very humble beginnings in a small church hall on Justin Lane, Austin, Texas, in 1985, Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church has grown to a beautiful beacon high on the hill of St. Stephen’s School Road. The magnificent icons and Byzantine art are a testament to the devotion and love parishioners share here as we spread God’s love.

Transfiguration has been fulfilling a philanthropic role since 1985 in the Austin community serving those in need with home-delivered meals, feeding the homeless, and offering support to local, national, and international charities. The Ladies Philoptochos Society leads the way in working tirelessly on charitable projects to help those less fortunate. Other church ministries volunteer to serve those in need as well.
