TAF Summer Auction

The Avery Foundation is raising money to cover veterinary care for our rescue cats. Each cat in our care receives routine veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, core vaccines, microchipping, and any extra care needed to prepare them for a healthy, happy life in their forever home.

We currently have an outstanding veterinary balance, and funds from this auction will help us pay it down and continue providing essential veterinary care for the cats in our care.

Online Auction Rules:

Thank you to all the individuals who have donated to this auction. 

Please make sure to read our rules prior to participating.

1. Auction Dates: The auction will open on August 13th at 8:00 AM and close on August 23rd at 8:00 PM.
   • Important: You will receive an invoice from the auction site shortly after the auction closes. It will list your items and total. If you do not receive it (please check your junk folder), email us right away so we can provide your total.
2. Payment: Payment is due by Tuesday August 25th at 8:00 pm. After that time, item(s) may be offered to the next highest bidder or held for a future auction.
3. How to Pay: Payments must be made via e-transfer to donate@theaveryfoundation.ca (no password required).
4. Pickup Location: When sending payment, please indicate your preferred pickup location in the e-transfer comment (see options below).
5. Item Pickup: Once payments and pickup locations are confirmed, items will be prepared and delivered to the designated locations. Items will be available for pickup between August 28th, 2026 and September 18th, 2026, and must be scheduled in advance with the pickup location host. Items not picked up by this date will be re-donated to The Avery Foundation, with payments retained as a donation.
6. Pickup Notifications: Emails with pickup instructions will be sent to all bidders after the payment deadline. Please wait for these instructions.

The Avery Foundation (TAF) is a volunteer-run, foster-based cat rescue in Ottawa, led by coordinators and supported by volunteers and carefully selected foster families.

Our mission is to help abandoned and vulnerable cats through foster care, rehabilitation, and ultimately adoption; to guide potential adopters to the best fit for their family to ensure a forever home; and to promote responsible pet ownership through humane education: specifically of the importance of routine veterinary care, spay/neutering and enrichment needs. Ultimately creating a happy and healthy life for as many animals as possible.

Every dollar raised goes directly to providing veterinary care, food, and supplies.
