Stars & Stripes Over Stonington Auction

Thank you for supporting the Stonington Community Center (COMO). This online auction is part of  our annual Stars & Stripes Over Stonington.  Stars & Stripes Over Stonington serves to provide critical funding for facility upgrades, organizational needs, and program scholarships. If you are attending the event on May 16, there will be an additional lineup of amazing auction items!

It is only with the help of our community partners and organizations that the COMO can continue it's work serving the youth and adults of our region by providing educational, recreational, and enrichment programs throughout the year aimed at fostering a thriving community where everyone can learn, play, create! 

At the COMO, our mission is to inspire a welcoming, collaborative and engaged community through intellectual growth, active play and creative expression.

Established in 1945, the COMO covers a 16-acre campus. The main building, located at 28 Cutler Street in Stonington, CT, houses our NAEYC-accredited preschool program, before and after school care, gymnasium and auditorium. The campus also includes a thrift store, pottery studio, 4 paddle courts with warming hut, 4 deco-turf tennis courts, children’s garden, pond, playgroun, and sports fields. Programs run year-round spanning the entire COMO campus.

LEARN
From our NAEYC-accredited preschool, after-school programs and summer camps to cooking classes and workshops, our educational initiatives are central to our mission, offering opportunities for intellectual growth, whether through youth enrichment programs, adult learning classes, or creative workshops. 

PLAY
From youth sports leagues to racquet sports we provide opportunities for physical activity to promote well-being and connection. We believe in the power of active play to bring people together and foster personal growth, and we offer a wide range of athletic and fitness programs catering to all ages and abilities.

CREATE
Through hands-on projects, workshops, and camps, we bring learners of all ages together, providing the tools to explore new ideas, collaborate, and build critical thinking skills. Our pottery and arts programs at the COMO create welcoming spaces for creativity, self-expression, and connection, nurturing a lifelong love of the arts within our community.
