Spring Show: Art & Fashion Uniting for Hospice

The Spring Show fundraiser is an annual event hosted by Shine Design Store & Parker Gallery in Nelson, NZ. This year our focus is to raise funds for the Nelson Tasman Hospice gardens, and specifically, the new 'poetry walk'. Forty highly respected local artists have generously donated their time, materials and expertise to allow 100% of proceeds to go towards this incredible organisation.

Each artwork has been created using a 40cm x 40cm support. Artists were given free reign to create a work in their own style, which resulted in a showcase of the diverse creative talent found in and around our region. All 40 artworks have a reserve price of $400, well below market value to allow everyone the chance to own one of these original artworks and support the Hospice at the same time.

The Nelson Tasman Hospice provides a variety of specialist care services for people who have a life-limiting illness – supporting them, their families/whānau and carers through illness, death and bereavement. Their services are provided at no charge to patients and their families/whānau, and are available to everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, culture and gender. Care is provided to people in their own homes, aged care facilities and in the hospice inpatient Unit. To the very special people who work in and around this wonderful organisation, thank you!

About The Spring Show: Art & Fashion Uniting for Hospice

Shine & Parker Gallery are hosting their second annual Spring Show fundraiser for the Nelson Tasman Hospice. The event comprises a ticketed formal event (including a runway show), the live auction of four exclusive 'pamper packs' and an affordable art auction. This year, key sponsors ELK will be previewing items from their new Spring/Summer collection, alongside Black Matter jewellery and Charmaine Reveley.

This year, Parker Gallery invited 40 artists from Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and Wellington to complete an artwork for the Spring Show. Each artist received a 40cm x 40cm wooden support with two months to create their finished works. All of the funds raised from the sale of these artworks will be going to the Nelson Tasman Hospice to contribute to a garden 'poetry walk'.
