About Our Auction

Sanctuary One is an inclusive space for all living beings. Funds from this auction will go to cover medical care and food for our animals, support our service learning program, and help grow food we donate to local food banks. Your investment makes a positive impact for so many. Over 700 animals have called Sanctuary One home, and 1000s of people have found hope and healing on our 55 acres. Thank you for recognizing the need in our world and actively investing in solutions.

About Sanctuary One

Mission: To provide a refuge for animals and a healing place for people while promoting environmental stewardship.

Vision: People, Animals & the Earth: Better Together

Sanctuary One is an inclusive space for all living beings. Our 55-acre care farm located in the Applegate Valley is dedicated to rescuing companion and farm animals. We facilitate health and wellness for people of all ages through educational programs and events, and promote environmental stewardship by sustainably managing two gardens and a food forest area.

Sanctuary One was founded in 2007 to create a place where people could learn and heal – while helping animals do the same. Since then we have rescued over 700 animals. At any given time, there are 50+ animals on the farm.

No other organization in southern Oregon is like Sanctuary One. We value the interconnected tiers of our mission – people, animals, and the earth – which is unique among animal sanctuaries. We coordinate extensively with a dozen animal rescue organizations in five Western states, and 12-15 human and animal service providers locally. We serve people in Jackson & Josephine Counties. Every year we have 25-30 monthly volunteers donate 2,500+ hours, over 150 volunteers join the farm for Volunteer Week, and even more volunteers for special projects, events and that doesn’t even begin to count the thousands of hours our service learning partners regularly donate.
