Spring Gala Fundraiser "Better Together"

Handcrafted items from Ghanaian artisans are featured along with some other international treasures that were donated to Self-Help International by art collectors. All proceeds support Self-Help International's work to empower women and alleviate hunger in Ghana and Nicaragua!

Self-Help International is dedicated to alleviating hunger by helping people help themselves through improving agriculture, empowering women & girls, fighting malnutrition, and promoting clean water, sanitation & hygiene in Ghana, West Africa and Nicaragua, Central America. We partner with local leadership to invest in community-based and locally-led development.

Make a difference for Self-Help International this spring by supporting the annual fundraising event. The 2022 Spring Gala will be held on Friday, April 1, at the Prairie Links Event Center in Waverly, Iowa. The event is expected to draw around 150 people who believe in creating opportunities for people to escape the cycle of poverty.

Attendees will be treated to a buffet meal featuring smoked pork loin and stuffed chicken breast, oven roasted red potatoes, asparagus, salad and dessert. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will also be available upon request. A silent and live auction will also be held. Tickets are $50 per person/$100 per couple.

5 p.m. Social & Opening of Silent Auction

6 p.m. Buffet Dinner

6:45 p.m. Silent Auction Ends

7 p.m. Short Program & Live Auction

Special Notes: Masks will be recommended for the well-being of all guests. If you feel comfortable attending, we hope to see you! Business casual attire is appropriate.
