SMHC 27th Annual Golf Tournament Silent Auction
Businesses are invited to join our Title Sponsor, Spectrum Healthcare Partners, in support of the event with our newly expanded sponsorship package. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward the Da Vinci surgical robot and its use in the Bariatrics Program at SMHC. Community obesity rates have risen 64% over the last decade, reaching a critical level. This contributes to other community health crises, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, along with putting people at a higher risk when fighting COVID-19.
About Southern Maine Health Care
Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC) is a national award-winning healthcare organization with a non-profit mission “to improve the health and health care of the communities we serve.” We raised over $70,000 at the golf tournament last year, that went toward supporting programs for healthcare team members. This year’s 27th Annual Tournament is over 2 days of play (9/9 & 9/14), with a goal of $150,000 to support the suite of services in our Bariatrics Program, including the Da Vinci surgical robot.
“The pandemic has reminded us how important it is to have high-quality health care in our community,” says Nate Howell, SMHC President. “This tournament is a great way for the community to join us in support of SMHC - our local community hospital - with a fun day out on the course.”
