About Our Auction
Our 2016 Auction will open for online bidding at 7:00 am, Tuesday, February 16! There are many non-tangible items that you do not have to be present to win - so keep up with us on Twitter and Facebook, and start bidding!
All bidding is online this year - though tangible items can be viewed at the SEALLT booth in the exhibits hall, where you can also get help in placing a bid.
The funds raised will be used to enable a state Teacher of the Year to provide Professional Development in schools or school districts in his/her state for the year after representing that state in the SCOLT contest. The process for applying will be announced this year at SCOLT, with a link added to www.scolt.org so that districts, state departments of education, or state language organizations can apply. Grants can be used to assist with such items as travel costs, substitute pay, stipends, etc. for the TOYs to provide workshops and training sessions on professional topics linked to best practices in language education.
