About Our Auction

This Online Auction features an assortment of parrot-themed items, holiday gift ideas thanks to sponsor and member donations. You will find many bird-themed items including: books, art, sponsor and retail gift certificates, bird toys, travel cages, bird food, bird stands and one-of-a-kind collectibles. Also included are items of clothing, jewelry, games, art supplies, puzzles, housewares and more. With 141 items in our auction, there is likely to be something that you, your parrots or others must have. Because of the large variety of choices, make sure you view all of them by clicking on every of the pages when browsing. You will want to monitor your bidding to be able to win your selections with the highest bid.

Our goal for this year’s fundraiser and auction is $5,000.00 and above which will help replenish our general operating fund and our activity and outreach programs. These expenses include: providing updates on SBBS activities through our monthly newsletter and updated website, coordinating monthly avian-related speakers and informal social Zoom meetings and making charitable donations.

As a registered 501(c)3 Public Benefit Corporation, the mission of the South Bay Bird Society is to educate the public, members and prospective new owners in all aspects of avian care. See our mission statement below.

All proceeds raised from this fundraiser will go directly to support SBBS programs and outreach activities. One of our outreach priorities has included emergency preparedness. Our major focus is to promote the welfare of all birds and companion bird owners.

The mission of South Bay Bird Society is to study all avian species (native and foreign) and their habitats; to disseminate among the general public and supporting members, information on all aspects of avian care and breeding, and the preservation of endangered species and their habitats through written publications, educational lectures, seminars, activities, and to support and promote the propagation and preservation of species that are threatened by extinction.
