St. Marys Healthcare Foundation 2022 Gala

The past two-years have been extremely challenging but we know there is light at the end of the tunnel. The Foundation is so happy to have our 2022 Gala, both in-person and virtually!

It will be a night to remember with our special guest speaker, Clara Hughes, Six Time Olympic Medalist and Mental Health Advocate!
We have a delicious dinner from Steel Grill Catering, audio and video production by Red Hott Entertainment, and amazing donors who have contributed to our live and silent auction along with decor.

The St. Marys Healthcare Foundation has plans for a two-year rebuild project - Here For You Today, Building For Tomorrow campaign. This campaign will be completed in 2 phases and it is estimated to cost $6M. The Foundation has committed $2M to date, and our goal is to raise another $3M.

It has always been the Foundation's mission to create a healthy and active community by strengthening the health care systems in St. Marys and surrounding area. Over the years, St. Marys Healthcare Foundation has provided funding for new patient beds, digital imagery equipment, an updated nurses station and communications station for the Emergency Department and a new tub room.

However, since the pandemic, the need to provide a facility that meets the expectation of Canadian Healthcare Facilities Standards has been recognized by the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance. The Foundation is taking a proactive approach to meet these guidelines by upgrading the St. Marys Memorial Hospital.

The rebuild project will include:
- A zero-pressure isolation room
- Mechanical patient lifts
- Mechanized built-in headboards
- Wheelchair accessible washrooms
- Upgraded fire protection system
- New healthcare staff sanitation stations
