17th Annual Perilous Plunge!

The Perilous Plunge is the Discovery Museum's one big fundraiser each year, and it's proceeds set our budget for the next twelve months. For 17 years, brave souls from all over Humboldt and beyond have collected pledges, dressed up in true Humboldt style, and jumped into the bay to support the many programs, exhibits and camps we offer. Our new on-line auction is a great way to get involved without getting wet.

Join us in our celebration of Science by making a meaningful contribution where it can have the greatest impact! The Discovery Museum is where Humboldt Kids are introduced to a love of learning and the fun of Science. We need your help to make sure this invaluable community resource thrives in 2018!

The Discovery Museum is a non-profit children’s museum that offers interactive exhibits and thematic programs. Discovery Museum exhibits and programs promote hands-on, open-ended discovery in the areas of science, art, culture, technology, and healthy living. Our goal is to help youth expand their horizons and prepare for the future by fostering a passion for exploration and learning.
