Painted Bench Auction

Island artists have painted benches to be auctioned off to raise money for the Chebeague Island Hall Community Center. Each bench is unique.
All proceeds will go to fund needed electrical updates.
The Island Hall is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit that has been active on Chebeague Island for nearly 50 years, but its roots go way back more than 100 years to the Order of the Golden Cross. This building and its predecessor have always hosted island events and municipal functions. 
The Hall's mission is to serve the community, and this year we have done so by holding an Art Walk and Painted-Bench Auction to honor all our talented island artists.

The nonprofit Chebeague Island Hall Community Center was created almost fifty years ago to serve the island community. Our mission is to foster unity among the diverse people who call the island home. The Hall serves as the de facto town hall. It is also where people gather to vote, eat, listen to music, participate in town government, and watch plays. 
The purpose of the painted-bench auction is to raise money seeking to update and consolidate electrical service to the Community Center, a job projected to cost around $80,000..

At the live auction, held on Saturday Augst 1, all online bids were outbid. None of the online bidders were high bidders. Thank you for bidding!
