ARTSPLACE Paint the Town, Nova Scotia’s premiere plein-air-inspired art festival, is getting ready to celebrate 27 incredible years! Due to continued post COVID-19 uncertainty, the event is a hybrid affair this year. Many of the artists will arrive in Annapolis Royal August 13 & 14, where you can see them create, chat with them, and enjoy the celebratory spirit. Others will work from their own studios. All art created for Paint the Town will be auctioned online starting September 24.

Each participating Paint the Town artist will produce 1 or 2 artworks during the weekend for the online auction. Artists have also been invited to contribute a ‘studio piece’ to showcase their work. Studio pieces will be available to view and “Buy Now” online.

Paint the Town is a fundraiser for ARTSPLACE. Your bids support both ARTSPLACE and the participating artists - art sales are split 50/50.

PLEASE NOTE this auction has an "extended bidding" feature - this automatically extends the end time of an item by 3 minutes when it receives a bid during the final 3 minutes. This allows bidders to relax during the end of an auction knowing they'll have time to enter a new bid if they're outbid in the final 3 minutes, making it easier to maintain their lead on one or more items.

A huge THANK YOU to the participating artists for giving their time and talent to this fundraiser!

About Annapolis Region Community Arts Council
ARTSPLACE is a contemporary visual arts gallery and arts centre that is operated by the Annapolis Region Community Arts Council (ARCAC). ARCAC is a registered non-profit, charitable, community organization dedicated to encouraging and promoting the arts. Located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia; a place that artists seem to be naturally drawn to, ARCAC was founded by a group of artists in 1982. We support artistic endeavors from youth to professional. We present workshops, talks, film screenings, readings, and music. We have one permanent staff member, a volunteer Board, and a host of community volunteers.
