About Our Auction

Join us here for our May 2022 online fundraising auction! Bidding opens at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 and closes at 7:00pm on Friday, June 3, 2022 here. Thank you to our wonderful community members for your generous donations!

All funds raised will go directly back into the community. Our goal for this fundraiser is $5,000. Here is the breakdown:

$2,000 will go towards our Arts Matter Scholarships. We provide two scholarships each year to Penticton and Princess Margaret High School students pursuing higher education in the arts.

$1,000 will go towards our Community Outreach Initiatives. We partner with a wide variety of artists, art groups, social service providers, and businesses to promote our local art community, ensuring, visibility, accessibility, and participation for all. These groups include: SOWINS, One Sky, Aging Well Penticton, ARC, Brain Injury Society, Foundry, Star Fish Pack, and more.

$2,000 will go towards our Holiday Cheer Art Boxes & Colouring Book. Last year, we distributed 1,700+ art supply packages to children and seniors in our community. These funds will help pay our local partnering artists for their contributions to our annual colouring book, as well as provide art supplies for the boxes.

If you would like to support us directly and not participate in the auction, you can donate to us here: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/pdcac/

Thank you for supporting our work by making art and creativity accessible to all!

About Penticton & District Community Arts Council

About the Penticton & District Community Arts Council

This beautiful land on which we gather, work, play, and live, is the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) peoples, who have been here for thousands of years.

2020 marked the 60th anniversary of the Penticton & District Community Arts Council and our 40th anniversary as managers of the Leir House Cultural Centre. We serve the people of the City of Penticton, Regional District Areas D, E & I, and tourists who visit year-round. We partner with artists and art groups for in-person exhibitions, festivals, markets, workshops, art walks, and performances.

We believe a creative community is a healthy and connected community. Our fiscal year runs July 1st to June 30th.

Together, we are reducing barriers to art-making and creativity while building a vibrant, flourishing, and sustainable artistic community for all!
