About Mickie Acierno, SFCA
Nearly 20 years of gallery representation, and over 40 years of painting experience. Solo and group shows in Vancouver, Nanaimo, Calgary and Shanghai, China. My work has been featured in Magazin' Art, Arabella, The Artist's Magazine, and more. In March of 2008 I was awarded the SFCA Signature Status by the Federation of Canadian Artists. From 2009 until it ended in 2015 I was one of the Artists in Residence at the annual Painters at Painters three day event in Campbell River, B.C. It’s not every day you get to paint alongside the greats in Canadian art! Possibly the most exciting and cherished time of my career! (A complete C.V. can be found on my website.)
And now...in the year 2020 (timing is everything - insert eye-roll emoji here!) I am running my own online gallery store. Something I have wanted to do for a very long time. Why? Mostly to be able to get to know my collectors on a more personal basis...and, I have to admit...I really like being my own boss!
I have claimed 2020 as the year of landscapes. The beautiful thing about "doing my own thing" is that no subject is off limit, so expect more to come!!
