About Our Auction

A note about the prefixes in the item titles: the prefix A on an item means it's a plant for auction; AN means it's a non-plant item for auction; and S means it's a plant for immediate sale.
-------------------------
As a not-for-profit organization, the Ottawa Horticultural Society relies on membership fees and plant sales for revenue to pay for activities, facilities, speakers fees, etc. Due to COVID-19, all of our in-person activities have been cancelled since March, including our very important fund-raising plant sales and plant auction. Instead, we are holding this online silent plant auction for the first time. Funds raised will go towards future programming, including virtual presentations from guest speakers.

The plants are donations from our membership, so you can be assured they have been shown to be successful in an Ottawa garden. We hope you will enjoy browsing and bidding on the varied offerings! Thank-you for your participation.

If you don't find a plant or other auction item to meet your needs, please consider making a donation to the OHS using the green Donate button at the top of the page. Tax receipts will be issued. Thank-you!

About Ottawa Horticultural Society

The mission of the Ottawa Horticultural Society is to cultivate an interest in plants and gardening in order to create a beautiful community, and we have been striving to do just that since 1892. Our not-for-profit society is open to all gardeners who enjoy sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge of gardening. We have over 300 members and our activities usually include public monthly meetings with guest speakers, community planting projects, a quarterly newsletter, plant shows and photo competitions.

You can find out more about our organization, our activities and membership on our website (ottawahort.org) and on the Ottawa Horticultural Society Facebook page.
