Bidding of Dragons

The OG Supporters have big plans, and we need your help to make them happen! What kind of plans? Staff mini-grants, student engagement, student and family support, and staff TLC, to name just a few.

They say it's the thought that counts, but it's even better when we can make our plans a reality, and that's where we all, as a community, can make a difference.

So take a look at some of the amazing items that have been so generously donated by local businesses (WE LOVE YOU!), and community members (WE LOVE YOU!), and maybe you'll see something that catches your eye. It's a fantastic chance to support Ockley Green Middle School, see the incredible breadth of creativity and open-heartedness in North Portland and beyond, and, if we're being honest, get a little competitive. Just don't "Dracarys" anyone- our insurance doesn't cover that.

So get in, Dragons, we're going shopping.

Additional note: Please be aware you can absolutely OPT OUT of paying transaction fees. Currently when you bid, you will see a charge that covers the website and credit card processing fees, but it is completely up to you if you want to pay it. Simply uncheck the box to opt out- it does not affect your bid in any way. 

A parent and caregiver-led group from within the Ockley Green Middle School community, the Ockley Green Supporters strives to support and advocate for all our children by partnering with staff, families, and the wider community to create a positive learning environment where students can realize their full potential. 

As part of  our mission, the OG Supporters rely heavily on our general fund to finance much of what we do, including: 

• Staff Mini-Grants: Providing a flexible source of funding to supplement the cost of classroom learning materials, direct services to students, and services that are not available through school administration or the district. 

• Student Engagement: Contributing to the funding of school dances and other student led (and staff supported) initiatives and assisting with funding school events and field trips, in coordination with school administration. 

• Supporting Students and Families at Ockley Green: When we can, the OG Supporters contributes to initiatives or donates funds to benefit OGMS community members in need of additional support.

• Staff Appreciation: Providing gifts on days of national recognition, meals on days where staff are at school from morning through evening, and general staff room support.
