2018 Winter Auction

Your participation in our Winter Auction supports our students and allows our school to thrive and provide Waldorf education to the diverse communities of NYC. This annual fundraiser supplements the foundational programs necessary to sustain New Amsterdam School now and into the future, including: competitive salaries and benefits for faculty and staff, tuition assistance, teacher training and professional development, and our organic school food program, and directly funds our Socially Equitable Education "SEE" program, which provides up to 99% tuition assistance for economically diverse families.

At New Amsterdam we educate free individuals capable of imagining and creating an inclusive, responsive, and sustainable future. We are committed to educating children in this way regardless of their parents’ financial situation, and are dedicated to building a community which truly reflects the diversity of our city. All children will impact the future of our society; it is our belief that our children will have a happy, healthy, and secure future only when they learn to build it together with all members of the community. The future starts here.

About New Amsterdam School

Waldorf education in NYC for Grades 1-4, Pre-K, and early childhood.

New Amsterdam is a small home-like school where the warm community nourishes children. Teachers integrate art, movement, music, and nature into students' daily lives, igniting the imagination and awakening a life-long joy in learning. New Amsterdam is devoted to the artistic process of developing imaginative and critical thinking, emotional maturity, and social responsibility, and aims to educate free individuals capable of imagining and creating an inclusive, responsive, and sustainable future.
