About Neil Falkner Outward Bound Legacy

Neil Falkner was a skier, outdoors enthusiast, motorcyclist, and adventurer who died while on a backcountry skiing trip in the Canadian Rockies in April 2002. In his teens, his mother sent him on an Outward Bound excursion. He told her it was the best gift she’d ever given him.

The memorial legacy fund was established in 2003 and has now sent a total of 24 youth on Outward Bound Wilderness Programs - programs that help them develop leadership skills, self-confidence, and team work. Two youth are selected each year for this challenging opportunity. They are all grade 10s who return to their schools eager to share and build on their new strengths and leadership skills. This year 2 more young people will benefit from Neil's Legacy. To find out more, visit www.neilfalknerlegacy.ca
