About Our Auction

Join us in supporting Amy's House – a home away from home for patients undergoing cancer treatment. From February 17 to March 15th, bid on an incredible selection of items in our online auction, featuring 29 stunning art pieces by NOA (Night of Artists) artists, unique gift baskets, and much more.

The excitement continues as the Amy's House Charity Auction transitions from online to a live event on Saturday, March 15th, from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. We invite you to join us for an evening of excitement, community spirit, and generosity as we come together to support Amy's House. For tickets click this link: Get Gala Tickets Here

To allow for a smooth transition, online bidding will close at 4:00 pm on the same day. At that time, all leading online bidders will receive an email notifying them of their status; however, please note that being the highest bidder online does not guarantee a win, as the competition heats up at the live event!

Online bidders have the option to purchase items immediately using the "Buy Now" feature, which allows them to buy the piece at full value, effectively ending bidding once the bid is received.

However, if there is a bidding war during the live auction at the Amy's House Gala, a 3-minute time limit will be issued after each bid for a counter bid to be placed. If no bids are received within that time, the auction for that item will be closed.

If you’re unable to attend the gala, don’t worry—winners who are not present will be notified on Sunday, March 16th.

If you have any questions about the bidding process please contact Karen Bishop - karenbishopartist@gmail.com

Proceeds from the auction go directly to Amy's House, helping provide a comfortable and supportive environment for patients and their families during a challenging time.

About Night of Artists

In 1997 Phil Alain rented a small community hall in the city of St. Albert, set up all his artwork around the perimeter of the room, had a friend play piano, his sister sing, and food and drinks were provided  in a party like atmosphere to a small but supportive crowd of 150 people. The event was a hit and Alain was able to show and promote his artwork in a new and exciting way. From that day forward Night of Artists was born and as of 2019 Night of Artists has been featured across Canada in over 250 events and the annual event now receives over 3000 guests over a three day festival
In May 2018, 37-year-old Amy Alain, a mother of two and devoted wife to Phil Alain, was diagnosed with stage 3b non-small cell adenocarcinoma lung cancer. Amy, an ultra-runner, triathlete, and fitness instructor, was the picture of health, making the diagnosis a complete shock to her family and friends. Amy’s inspiring journey touched thousands, as she raised awareness about the seriousness of lung cancer while fighting her own battle. Sadly, on February 22, 2019, Amy passed away, but her legacy of strength and compassion continues. One of Amy's final wishes was to create a home where cancer patients, especially those from out of town, could stay while undergoing treatment. She had often spoken to fellow patients who had to endure long, exhausting drives back and forth for radiation or chemotherapy, further taxing their health. On September 28, 2019, what would have been Amy’s 39th birthday, Amy’s House 1 officially opened. This home provided a sanctuary for patients and their families, offering a place of comfort during an incredibly challenging time. In May 2023, a second home opened, expanding the reach of her dream. Both homes provide a comforting environment, helping to ease the emotional and physical burdens of cancer treatment.Amy’s House represents the fulfillment of her dream—to provide support, convenience, and comfort for families in need, just as she and her own family were fortunate enough to receive during her journey.
