Newport Montessori School has entered our Roaring Twenties! We've been rooted in curiosity, independence, and strong community connection since our small school opened 20 years ago!
Bids for Kids is our annual auction that brings together families, alumni, local businesses, and friends to support the school we love, which has supported so many families over the years.
Every bid supports our Tuition Assistance Program and essential school programs.

Our History: 20 Years of Impact
Since our founding in 2006, Newport Montessori has grown from a small community vision into a thriving school serving families across the region. Tuition Assistance has allowed many students to access a Montessori education who otherwise could not.
Bids for Kids helps ensure that opportunity continues.

HONORING OUR FOUNDER
Newport Montessori School was founded in 2006 by Christy Whipple, whose vision was to ensure every child felt seen, known, and able to reach their full potential.
For nearly 20 years, she led with heart, courage, and an unwavering belief in accessible education, impacting hundreds of students who passed through the doors of NMS. Miss Christy's spirit will continue to be a guiding force for our school.
Bids for Kids continues her legacy by supporting our Tuition Assistance Program — helping ensure opportunity remains available to families in our community for generations to come.
