NLA Food Recovery...Nourishing Neighbors

This silent auction will generate revenue to help feed individuals and families facing food insecurity. One in five children in Saline County MO faces food uncertainty. Our food recovery project helps ensure that no child is hungry and no plate is empty. It provides the community with a means to be part of the solution. We are nourishing our neighbors and connecting our community.

Nonprofit Leadership Alliance is a student led organization that provides Missouri Valley College students with an opportunity for professional development. Students gain experience by working with the local community to help meet unmet needs. MVC Nonprofit Leadership Alliance has embarked on a food recovery project that addresses food insecurity in Saline County. Students work to access community needs and formulate programs and partnerships that enhance the quality of life for all members of the Marshall community.
