Mills Online Auction - Ends Tonight, May 8 at 9 pm

We're looking forward to seeing you at our 3rd Annual Adult Only Silent Auction! This fun & festive event is a chance to mingle with people your own age & teachers sans kiddos, that's fancy talk for "no kiddos." Our theme is Under the Texas Stars & will be held at the Zilker Lodge. Dress is "Jeans to Jewels" which basically means jeans or a cute dress, boots, & maybe some sparkly jewelry to snazz it up…basically, anything goes!

Your ticket includes some tasty food & drink, games, music & dancing, & the chance to bid on exclusive "At the Event Only" auction items. $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Advance purchased tickets will receive a $10 gift certificate to Whole Earth & will be entered to win some cool door prizes, too! Childcare arrangements will be available at Lifetime Fitness. Bring your significant other, family, a friend, a group of friends…or All the Single Ladies! This event is open to everyone; however, tickets are limited. It's a night you won't want to miss!

We're offering items for bid on this online auction site in the event some of you cannot make it, but still want to support our wonderful school. Keep in mind, some items will be exclusive for bid "At the Event Only." You may also make a Direct Donation on this site which will go 100% to Mills and/or you have the option to "Sponsor a Teacher" with a donated ticket if you'd like.

What are we raising money for? The school district is unable to pay for many things so the PTA assists with both volunteers & financial support. We pay for unglamorous things such as the copier & workroom supplies, expensive projector lightbulbs, doormats, new safety patrol signs & rain ponchos, teacher classroom supplies, as well as science materials, library books, computers, subscriptions to websites, teacher professional development, author visits, music risers, & playground improvements, etc. Our P&G committee receives requests from teachers letting us know what they need to teach our children. Some of the areas we hope to focus on are: improving the track, the portables, adding a water bottle filling station, landscaping, more science materials, & many other potential unidentified projects which we will offer up for a vote. To achieve these goals, we are hoping to raise $25,000+. We need your help to do this…it takes a village!

The Mills PTA is a non-profit organization that offers volunteer assistance and financial funding to our wonderful school in Austin, Texas. We are holding our 3rd Annual Adult Only Silent Auction, "Under the Texas Stars," on April 29th to raise funds for our students and teachers to provide support for our reading intervention programs, our Take Flight Dyslexia program, enrichment fee assistance, supplemental science materials (like circuit boards) with a cart on wheels to be shared, library acquisitions and technology training/support, and planting a garden as part of our "green" efforts, as well as direct campus improvements including lighting and playground safety features...needed services for which the school district is unable to provide.
