Music for Medicine 2025

All funds raised at the Music for Medicine benefit the OMI Seminars. 

Tailored for physicians from resource-limited countries, the Open Medical Institute’s seminars cover all major medical disciplines through a structured, three-year curriculum. Conducted by world-renowned faculty from top institutions in the United States and Europe, the courses feature state-of-the-art lectures, interactive case discussions, and cutting-edge hands-on workshops.

 What sets the OMI seminars apart is not only their academic excellence, but also their egalitarian, inclusive format. Faculty and fellows live and learn together under one roof: encouraging open dialogue, fostering mentorship, and establishing lasting professional bonds. This education-without-hierarchy model creates a unique atmosphere of trust and collaboration, empowering fellows to actively engage and further develop their clinical skills. 

Since 1993, the OMI has awarded more than 30,000 fellowships to physicians from 138 different countries, to whom more than 3,800 observerships in Austrian and American hospitals have been granted.

The American Austrian Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that seeks to prevent brain drain and foster brain gain in countries of transition through exchanges in medicine, communications, science, and the arts.
