About Our Auction
In 2020, a tornado hit Monroe, causing significant damage to the museum’s roof. When it was repaired, not all the original tiles from the 1929 roof were able to be reused. In 2022, the Masur Museum of Art hosted the first Raise the Roof Fundraiser, asking local artists to create works of art with the tiles.
The funds raised in the auction will be used to care for the Masur Museum’s permanent collection.
The tiles vary in weight but some are VERY HEAVY!
