About Our Auction

In an effort to help outfitters in the Miramichi who may be experiencing a downturn in business due to the Canadian border closure, the MSA has agreed to list and sell some prime vacant fishing water on their behalf. This is your opportunity to fish some salmon pools that ordinarily would not be available.

About Miramichi Salmon Association

The Miramichi Salmon Association (MSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of Atlantic salmon and their habitat in the Miramichi River system of New Brunswick, Canada.

Founded in 1953, the MSA has played a critical role in the conservation of Atlantic salmon populations, working with government agencies, industry partners, and local communities to protect the species from the threats of habitat loss, overfishing, and pollution. The MSA engages in a wide range of activities to support the conservation and restoration of Atlantic salmon, including research, education, and advocacy.

One of the key initiatives of the MSA is the conservation of the Miramichi River and its watershed. This includes monitoring water quality and fish populations, restoring fish habitat, and working with local communities to promote sustainable practices that protect the river and its wildlife.

The MSA also conducts educational programs for youth and adults, to promote awareness and understanding of the importance of Atlantic salmon conservation. This includes offering workshops, seminars, and field trips to local schools and community groups.

Overall, the Miramichi Salmon Association plays a vital role in the conservation and restoration of wild Atlantic salmon populations, and in the protection of the Miramichi River system and its ecosystem.
