Art In Mind (AIM)

Art is healing and therapeutic as well as a conversation starter. All of the art presented at Art In Mind (AIM) has a connection to mental wellness, either through the subject matter or through the artist. MHA aims to open conversations regarding mental wellness and to reduce stigma. This is accomplished by promoting mental wellness through advocacy, prevention, and education.
Art In Mind (AIM) is a fundraiser with the goal of supporting people and families with programs such as ParentVOICE, Compeer, Mental Health First Aid, and QPR (suicide prevention).

Mental Health America of Central Carolinas (MHA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is an organization with the ultimate goal to save lives. The Mission of MHA is to promote mental wellness through advocacy, prevention and education in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties. We are an affiliate of the national MHA organization. Our vision is to be the region's leading voice to promote access to mental health care, to reduce the stigma of seeking help, and to advocate for effective mental health services for all. Our programs include legislative advocacy, information & referral services, community education & outreach, ParentVoice, Compeer, and "Mental Health Matters: It's Time to Talk". All trainings are offered at no or low cost.
