Mother's Day Brunch-in-a-Box Packages & Auction

We may have had the privilege of hosting you at one of our annual Mother's Day Brunch & Silent Auction fundraising events in the past. If so, you will understand that beauty, quality and excellence are key! This year we are excited to host the event in a different, but wonderful way...with a delicious "Sawmill-Catering prepared" boxed brunch, a stunning signature floral centrepiece, and priority access to a limited, but amazing, online silent auction! These packages will be available for sale until May 3, 2021 only and quantities are very limited.

Following the sale of our brunch-in-a-box packages, a limited number of beautiful auction items will be available for your shopping and bidding pleasure and will be available at auction starting on May 8th at 8:00am and closing at 11:00pm on May 23, 2021. All funds raised will support the Basically Babies Layette Programs in Edmonton and Calgary.

Basically Babies is a registered charity that provides basic outfitting supplies for newborn babies born to families in extreme need in the greater Edmonton and Calgary communities. We have been supporting tiny infants for over 26 years. We offer the gift of a complete first year’s wardrobe and supplies for these infants in the form of a beautiful colour-coordinated basket layered with clothing, outerwear, blankets, toys, storybooks, sleepers, undershirts, footwear and other baby essentials. We call these packaged gifts “Layettes”. The layettes we provide contain approximately 110 items which will supply a baby for their entire first year of life and beyond. While some of our items are new, we use a significant amount of gently-used clothing and other baby items donated to us in excellent and “like-new” condition for this purpose. Our layettes are delivered to the recipient families through a network of charitable organizations, non-profit groups, social service agencies and health care agencies that we partner with who are working with these families on a long-term basis to develop and build life skills. We strongly believe it is important to communicate, in a practical way, their value and worth, and to give them a sense of the hope and promise that our communities have to offer.
