2026 PEACE NIGHT AUCTION

PEACE Night Art Auction is a special part of MAPSS’s annual PEACE Night (Parent Education and Conversation Event), where creativity, community, and fundraising come together in a meaningful way. Each classroom from the three Montessori public schools collaborates to create a unique piece of art, resulting in a collection of one-of-a-kind works that reflect the voices, creativity, and experiences of the children.

These pieces are then auctioned off during the event, with all proceeds going directly back to support the Montessori programs. Funds raised help provide enriched materials, enhanced learning opportunities, and experiences that go beyond standard classroom funding.

More than just a fundraiser, the Art Auction is a celebration of the children’s work and a powerful way for families to contribute to their school community while taking home a meaningful piece of it.

MAPSS (The Montessori Alternative Public School Society) is a parent-led organization dedicated to raising funds to support the three Montessori public schools in Calgary. Through fundraising initiatives, events, and community partnerships, MAPSS helps provide enhanced learning materials, enriched programming, and meaningful opportunities that go beyond standard classroom funding.

In addition to its fundraising efforts, MAPSS fosters a strong sense of community by bringing together families, educators, and supporters through events like PEACE Nights (Parent Education and Conversation Events) and other school-wide initiatives. These experiences strengthen the connection between home and school while supporting the values of Montessori education.

At its core, MAPSS exists to ensure that each Montessori program is well-supported and that every child has access to a rich, engaging learning environment that helps them reach their full potential.
