Spring 2021 Capital Campaign - Fire Sprinklers

As we move forward in renovating the Lyric Center building it's important that we provide safety infrastructure for employees, volunteers and people visiting us.

We have been successful in securing grant funding for this project, but a match is required to complete it.

Your support through this auction will help us to complete a fire suppression sprinkler system throughout the building and will help us move forward to the next phase of renovation.

The Lyric Center for the Arts is a non-profit whose mission is to provide education and artistic opportunities for children and adults across the Iron Range while renovating the historic Lyric Building.

The Lyric is located in Virginia, Minnesota in the heart of the Iron Range. The Lyric Building was built in 1912 and house a 550 seat opera house, ballroom/gymnasium, lounge and commercial business spaces.

Currently, the Lyric Center includes an art gallery and small performance space called the Annex and provides visual, music and theater arts programs. After the sprinkler system installation is completed, the next phase of renovation will include the entire ground and second floors and create a multi use auditorium, lobby, grand ballroom, lounge and meeting space. The main theater will follow shortly after to complete a unique art center.
