About Our Auction
Support the good works of our sister parish, Parroquia San Antonio, in Soyapango, a poor suburb of San Salvador. All proceeds will be used to support vocational workshops (bakery skills, tailoring/dressmaking, event decoration and crafts, English instruction), student scholarships, disaster relief, and other social ministry programs of our sister parish.
In addition to bidding on the wonderful items we have this year, you can also make a direct donation to sponsor a student scholarship or help pay a workshop teacher's salary.
Because of the generosity of everyone who has participated in the auction so far, we are raising the goal to $15,000 to meet our commitments beyond the first half of 2022. Thank you all for your outstanding support!
About Las Vecinas de El Salvador, St. Ignatius Church
Las Vecinas de El Salvador is a social outreach ministry of St. Ignatius Church that works to maintain an ongoing relationship with the people of El Salvador through our sister parish of San Antonio in Soyapango, a densely populated municipality located next to San Salvador that faces many social and economic challenges.
Funds raised by Las Vecinas are used to support scholarships and vocational training to help people achieve their academic goals, develop new skills and employment opportunities, and improve the quality of their lives. We also fund food distribution programs, disaster relief efforts, and other social ministries of our sister parish in El Salvador.
