2020 Leo Wardrup Memorial Cape Charles Cup Auction

Beacuse of COVID 19, we are not able to have a live silent auctions at our Friday Skipper's Meeting and at the Saturday Evening Dinner / Awards Ceremony / Dance, so we are going to have an online Silent Auction.

The money raised at this Silent Auction will be part of BBSA's $5000. donation to Sail Nauticus.

Sponsored and organized by the Broad Bay Sailing Association (BBSA), the Leo Wardrup Memorial Cape Charles Cup Sailing Regatta will be held on August 14-16, 2020. This 2-day mid distance racing event has been voted the best Regatta in the Chesapeake by in 2017, 2018 and 2019 by Chesapeake Bay Magazine.
Through the Cape Charles Cup, BBSA has raised over $35,000. for Sail Nauticus, a nonprofit sailing school and community sailing center whose mission is to inspire, instruct, and impact Hampton Roads kids through the use of sailing and maritime sciences. The Sail Nauticus Academy provides a life-changing experience for underserved youth in our local community. Through a partnership with Norfolk Public Schools, students are given the opportunity to participate in a program that promotes STEM activities, career development opportunities, life skills and leadership through the sport of sailing.
