LPES Spring 2018 Auction

Did you miss the Family Fun Night Auction? Our mini Spring on-line auction will run Thursday, May 10th - Monday, May 21st at 9 PM.

Every dollar helps us achieve our mission to improve the school community and provide an enriching, educational environment for our students. This is possible through support and collaboration with parents, teachers, and the staff of Laurel Park Elementary.

With your fundraising dollars, in 2017-2018 the Laurel Park PTA has been able to:

• Purchase over 200 books to update our media center collection
• Equip EVERY classroom with technology to aid in instruction
• Provide EVERY teacher and specialist with $100 for classroom supplies
• Host Newberry Honor Authors and Illustrators
• Paint several hallways in the school
• Welcome Monarch butterflies and their eggs to our Native Plant Garden
• Provide subscription services to several websites that help our children put what they learn in the classroom to practice every day
• Bring professional musicians into music class
• Provide bike helmets to 40 kids who don't have one
• Bring 20 kids together before school in our Movement Group to encourage learning throughout the day
• Encourage and support children to participate in STEAM Activities in the county
• Beautify our playground and school grounds
• Teach kids the importance of trying new foods
• Teach kids the importance of being physically active while staying safe
• Plant a garden that provides fresh vegetables to our community
• Purchase flexible learning environments both inside and outside to maximize children's engagement and collaboration
• Add supplemental science experiments to 5th grade
