Lady Lucy’s Laugh Giraffe Auction

The net proceeds of this auction serve two very important goals. First, a percentage of the net proceeds goes to purchasing Lady Lucy’s Laugh Giraffe Journey for kids, schools and libraries in need. Books and reading are critical to student success and many children have few, if any, books at home. In some school districts, there are not enough books for kids and the library selections can be limited. Education is a social determinant of health. The other net proceeds go to the Giraffe Conservation Foundation. This international non-profit is dedicated to saving giraffe from extinction. Sadly, there are only 100,000 giraffe remaining in Africa and there has been a decline in giraffes across African nations. We need to save these amazing creatures.

Three added notes: (1) Two of the four featured giraffe were created by Lady Lucy's Giraffe Laugh Journey authors, Karen Gross and Marc Wine. They have been made out of pipe cleaners. They are "priceless." And, we hope they inspire others to create their own amazing giraffe. (2) We have added three other "purchasing/donating options: you can buy the featured book (signed) for $11 with an added donation of $5.00 for a total of $16 (if you don't want a giraffe or lose a bid); alternatively, you can forgo the giraffe and the book and the bidding and donate $50.00 or $25.00. (3) The images of the giraffe from the book that are being auctioned can be seen in a larger size by clicking on the image on the auction site and some can be seen on the website for the book: www.ladylucysquest.com. The website also has other information about giraffe, teaching through humor and jokes, and the other books in the Lady Lucy's series.

The whole point is to have fun and do good for kids and giraffe.
