About Us – Nelson Lions Style!
Hi there! We’re L.A. Nelson Elementary – home of the Lions and proud part of Denton ISD! Since opening our doors in 2007, we’ve been a place where kids learn big, dream big, and ROAR loud!
At Nelson, we believe school should be safe, fun, and full of learning. From Pre-K to 5th grade, we help our students grow into curious thinkers, kind friends, and confident leaders. Whether we’re reading, solving tricky math puzzles, creating cool art, or just being awesome humans — we do it together.
Our school motto?
“We will grow as successful learners and make a positive difference in the world.”
We work hard, play fair, and always show our Lion Pride in Crimson, Navy, and Khaki. And when challenges come our way, we remember our N-E-L-S-O-N promise:
