Kayla's 5th Annual NMDP Golf Tournament Auction!

 Why We’re Raising Money for NMDP (formerly known as Be The Match)

This year marks the 5th Annual Golf Tournament benefiting NMDP, an organization that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. 

Nearly six years ago, Kayla was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). After months of treatment, she received a life-saving stem cell transplant on June 23, 2021. One year later, we held our very first golf tournament to celebrate her first “transplant anniversary”—and what began as a celebration of life has grown into an annual tradition dedicated to helping give that same chance at life to others. 

For patients who need a stem cell or bone marrow transplant, finding a compatible donor can be incredibly difficult. A fully matched sibling can be an ideal donor, but many patients do not have one and must rely on an unrelated volunteer donor found through a registry. Kayla was incredibly fortunate to find a matched donor through the NMDP registry. 

That match changed everything. 

NMDP works tirelessly to connect patients with potential donors and life-saving cell therapies. Without the registry—and without the extraordinary stranger who selflessly said “yes” to becoming a donor—Kayla would not be here today. 

Every birthday, every holiday, every ordinary day, and every milestone since her transplant is a gift. We are endlessly grateful to NMDP and to Kayla’s donor for making those days possible.
