About Our Auction
All proceeds from this one-week silent auction will benefit HITS Theatre's annual operations and programs. Annually, HITS serves over 750 students in educational performing arts classes and entertains over 4,000 audience members at our low-cost public performances. HITS Theatre is also proud to employ over 30 Houston-based artists.
As we formalize our scholarship program, there are opportunities to sponsor a student and honor our beloved dance instructor, Dana Lewis. At HITS, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to express themselves through the arts, regardless of their financial circumstances. The Dana Lewis Scholarship Fund plays a crucial role in ensuring that children from diverse communities can participate in our theater programs, which foster not only artistic skills but also confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
Since HITS Theatre is a 501©(3) not-for-profit organization, all amounts above the fair-market value of the auction item you won can be considered a tax-deductible gift. For example, if your winning bid is $150 for an item with a fair market value of $100, $50 can be considered a tax-deductible donation.
