HALR Winter Wishes 2025

As a registered charity, Home at Last Rescue receives no government funding. We rely entirely on donations and fundraising initiatives to bridge the gap between our adoption fees and the medical costs of the cats in our care. In 2025 alone, our veterinary expenses are projected to exceed $400,000. So far this year, we’ve taken in over 500 cats, including nearly 400 kittens. Every single one receives full veterinary care, including spay or neuter and any additional medical support before they are ready for adoption. 

We also care for many special-needs cats, such as Scooch and Scar, who required extensive medical treatment, as well as several kittens battling FIP, each needing complex, long-term care in addition to routine vetting. These critical expenses are far beyond what adoption fees can cover. 

To date, we’ve celebrated 493 adoptions, generating $145,000 in adoption fees—but our medical costs remain significantly higher. 

Proceeds from our Winter Wishes 2025 Auction will help us close this financial gap and build a much-needed reserve for future medical cases.
