About Our Auction
As a registered charity, we receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations and auctions to cover the gap between adoption fees and medical expenses. In just the first six and a half months of 2025, our veterinary costs have already reached approximately $195,000. This includes extensive treatments for several young cats with severe health issues, five mother cats and their litters (so far!), and at least 20 senior and palliative cats.
We also have taken in multiple cats who were left to be euthanized at vet clinics for being too costly to care for, Dobby who had a urinary blockage & Chipmunk who had fallen from a 6-story balcony are two of them. Along with numerous newborn kittens that will require full veterinary care, including spaying and neutering. And with kitten season just barely half way through, demand for medical care is only going to increase.
So far this year, we’ve had 318 adoptions, bringing in $90,000 in adoption fees—but that still leaves a significant financial gap. Proceeds from our Autumn's Up 2025 Auction will help us cover these costs and build a reserve for the many medical expenses kitten season will bring. The auction runs from August 17 - 21st—your support makes all the difference!
