About Our Auction
Thank you for visiting the auction for our 2017 fundraiser—be sure not to keep this site a secret and help spread the word! We hope you will find something you like and participate in the excitement.
Funds raised through this auction will go towards community programming and activities at the Gibsons Public Market and the Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre.
The public market enriches lives for Sunshine Coast residents and visitors by creating a unique public place where people of all ages can gather. Here, everyone can enjoy community events and farmers’ and artisans’ markets, health and activity classes, art exhibits and live music featuring local talent, educational sessions on food literacy and skills building in our community kitchen, and organized meetings.
Programming dollars help us continue to develop, deliver and host learning and engagement opportunities that contribute to keeping our community vibrant. Through outreach and education, we aim to promote better everyday choices for a healthy Sunshine Coast and a stronger connection to our local ocean and its ecosystems.

The Gibsons Public Market and the Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre are operated by the Gibsons Community Building Society, a volunteer-led not-for-profit organization established in 2014.
The vision of the Society, in partnership with the Town of Gibsons, Community Futures and Sunshine Coast Community Foundation, is to operate a vibrant year-round community gathering place, learning destination and public market—a unique place that enriches the lives of Sunshine Coast residents, families, visitors, and newcomers… for generations to come.
