About Our Auction

Welcome to the 2020 GAS Silent Auction and Goblet Grab!

Please read everything below before placing a bid or buying an item for its "Buy Now" price.

REMEMBER: Have fun and bid often!

DETAILS
Many of the artists featured have elected to take a percentage of the sold price - so your purchase helps both GAS and the artist!

You will have to create an account in order to bid, but never to browse. This helps us contact you with information regarding your purchase or bids if need be.

Your bidder name and bid amount will be visible on item pages where you place bids. This is the ONLY information that will be visible to others. Your information and security is important to us.

HOW IT WORKS: THE SILENT AUCTION
This Silent Auction works just like any other in-person event. There are starting bids, minimum bid increments, and buy-it-now prices.

Bidding will begin at 10am Pacific Time on Thursday, May 21.

Bidding will end at 7pm Pacific Time on Saturday, May 23.

If you have won an auction item, you will be notified by the email you provided upon creation of your 32Auctions account, and payment will be due immediately via invoice from 32Auctions. Some shipping restrictions will apply, see below for shipping information.

HOW IT WORKS: THE GOBLET GRAB
The Goblet Grab is an event unique to GAS that happens every year at the in-person conference. This year, we've taken it virtual!

Vessels are sold on a buy-it-now basis. Look for the "Goblet Grab Item" banner on items or sort by "Goblet Grab" items only.

If you see something you like - grab it fast! Each day goblet prices will drop by 25%. By waiting a day, you might get that goblet for less money, but you risk someone grabbing it before you!

THE GOBLET GRAB SCHEDULE:
Round 1: Opens 10am Thursday, May 21; Closes 9am Friday, May 22
Round 2: Goblet prices fall 25%; Opens 10am Friday, May 22; Closes 9am Saturday, May 23
Round 3: Goblet prices fall 25%; Opens 10am Saturday, May 23; closes at 7pm Saturday, May 23.

IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION:
Due to the complicated nature of coordinating shipments all over the globe, all shipping will be handled outside of the 32auctions platform. To make this as easy as possible, a shipping ESTIMATE has been provided for each item for your reference. Once an item is purchased or won, a shipping label will be created and you will be invoiced for the shipping cost separately. Remember: the bid price or buy-it-now price you see DOES NOT include shipping.

Before placing any bids, make note of the location details in the item description. Some donors will not ship outside of their home country.

GAS is working with DHL through Optimal Ship and USPS to bring you the best shipping and handling costs. The prices you see are ESTIMATES based weights/dimensions provided by the item donors. Buyers are responsible for all shipping costs, unless otherwise noted. We will work to get you the best shipping price possible.

Shipping will happen directly between the donor of the item and the buyer. If needed, contact information will be shared between the two parties but ONLY in the instance of breakage or shipping needs.

Shipping estimates are included for 6 destinations: USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Sweden, Japan and Australia. If you are not located in any of these locations, you may still bid on items - we will calculate your shipping cost outside of the 32Auctions.com platform after the close of the event.

Shipping estimates include residential delivery and basic insurance.

Lastly, we know shipping estimates are high. Between glass packaging and high international rates, shipping can come with a big price tag. When available (and social-distancing restrictions allow), local pick-up for items may be available! Contact us for more information on item location and options!
