GALT's 2022 "No Grey Turned Away" Auction!

Many greyhound adoption groups accept only tattooed greyhounds, but GALT is different! We have always accepted untattooed greyhounds and sighthound mixes, and just recently we have taken in 16 of them -- either as strays or owner releases. While hound mixes are sometimes harder to adopt out than full-blooded greyhounds -- and thus stay longer in boarding and/or foster homes -- GALT is dedicated to helping ALL grey mixes who come our way find their forever homes. By participating in this auction, YOU will help us live up to our motto of "No Grey Turned Away!"

We are always amazed by the interesting and unique items we receive from our auction donors, and we are SO grateful to those who donate generously and often. Please check out the awesome array in this auction — greyhound art, clothing, home goods, jewelry and other accessories! We also have a nice variety of gift cards and even a few non-greyhound items for those who have more than enough grey “stuff”! You can find a number of gifts for friends and family, so warm up those bidding fingers!

Please pay special attention to the last two items — #35 and #36! These are for our FAN (Fund-A-Need) Club donations in honor of the 16 grey mixes (strays and owner releases) that GALT has taken in recently. We have listed all of their names in items 35 and 36, but based on the expenses we have already incurred to date, here is a MINIMUM estimate of what we expect to spend for our four grey mix “mascots” prior to them finding forever homes:

Keep in mind these totals are for only 4 of the 16 dogs listed -- and don't include kennel expenses after 5/31/22 -- so you can do the math to see how strong the need is to help GALT meet our "No Grey Turned Away" objective! You can help by making one or more $25 donations on items 35 and 36, and we will gladly send you a tax receipt.

Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc. (GALT) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation operating in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, throughout Texas, New Mexico and the United States since May 2001. GALT has assisted approximately 3900 greyhounds and other sighthounds in finding their forever homes.

GALT depends solely on donations, fundraisers and net proceeds from its GreytStore.org for its operating budget of more than $657,000 per year for needs of the dogs in its possession.

GALT takes a neutral stand on greyhound racing.
